Lets see your pups!
I figured a thread just for nice retriever pictures is in order!
Here's Caly, 1 1/2 old Golden girl. My best buddy!
She was a very silly puppy!
She was the cutest little ball of fluff.
Then we started duck dog training.
Now she's in her first year of hunting and doing very well. Still some things that she gets a bit timid about, like big water retrieves in strong current and what not, but most of the birds we shoot over the decoys, she is right on.

Try uploading the photo using the forum upload tool Tex. Check the sticky I have in the main lodge on how to do that.
Re: Lets see your pups!
This is my 5 year old chocolate, Porter. He still has a ton of energy. Thinks he is still a puppy most of the time.
Here he is w/ some rails from a few years ago.

Re: Lets see your pups!
Here are the many faces of my Chocolate Lab Mocha:
At a few months old
Can't wait for duck season
Looking out from a wreck we found one day
I don't want to go home yet
Look at me, I'm helping launch the boat
Busted...
Dam it's cold
One of my favorite photos. She could not keep her eyes of the flock of Brant behind me to look at the camera. Guess you had to be there...

Love the retrievers guys!! See Stevey, you're not the only one with a Chocolate!
Re: Lets see your pups!
Here's Ozzie. He's been doing really well this year for my father and I. Had some great retrieves on cripples this morning. Spoiled rotten, but a good duck and upland dog.

Fluffy Dogs
Thanks Davey for the fluffy dog compliment. I see a lot of labs on the pup pics so I thought I needed to throw in some different colors. Haha.

Kensi
Kensi (CLF) is only 8 months old and hasn't been on a waterfowl hunt just yet as she's still in training. I have however taken her on a couple pheasant hunts with an older CLF (Ries) and she found and flushed 2 birds on her own so that's a start! Not fast enough to get to the retrieve though...but that'll be coming! Loves to watch flocks of geese fly over the house and I've had her sitting and watching a couple hundred geese in a field a few times and she's focused! I think she'll be a good one down the road!

Re: Lets see your pups!
Goodlooking pup John.....when your pup's light switches on she'll be a retrieving machine.....and Ed....when that shotgun goes off it's like the start of a track meet...her drive is awsome even with the 2 operations in her knees, it has'nt slowed her down......Rusty

Re: Lets see your pups!
This is my boy Ice. He just turned a year old. We worked real hard during the summer months and the results were fantastic. Although he still acts like a puppy and needs more training in the layout blind, he had close to 200 retrieves this season.

Ice is a nice looking boy, OB training is the main stay in all your gundog work, as I have said to other people, if you car,nt control your dog at the side of you, you have got no chance of controling your dog 100 yards away.
