Went out this morning with a buddy and we setup in two different spots. Couldn't stay long because of the tide, but given how this season has been, I'm pretty happy to shoot these Gadwalls. The drake is a beauty. Tomorrow is my last day to gun this season, so hopefully this snow storm makes things happen.

Nice birds. That drake is a beauty. I still haven't seen any of those while hunting. Maybe next year.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to get both of them mounted together on a piece of driftwood. I love all puddle ducks, but Gadwalls, Wigeon and Pintails just give me a hard on. If you love shooting buffleheads, this has been a banner season, but for puddle ducks its been shit. But thats why its called hunting and puddle ducks are always more of a challenge. Giving it one last day tomorrow and then I'll be packing up the gear and preparing for next season.
