I know a guy who thinks this has been the best season ever because he's shot so many limits of buffleheads. I mean thats like shooting fish swimming in a barrel. Screw buffleheads. They taste like shit and they are dumber than a box of nails. I'd rather shoot ONE puddle duck over 20 buffleheads. I feel sooo much happier with just one Drake Mallard, Gadwall or Pintail on the boat than the best of best bufflehead merganser days. Maybe I'm just picky, but if all there was to shoot was buffleheads and mergs...I'd probably only go twice a year.

Dave if Bufflehead hunting makes a guy a happy then I respect that and hey he is out on the water getting lots of trigger time not my deal but I respect that

Oh I agree, but I just laugh at how some guys get such a big ego because they shoot limits of buffleheads every week. Think they're some kind of expert duck hunter. Anyone can throw a white rig off a point on the bay and shoot them. I shot probably 20 buffleheads total this year...you just have to do it sometimes to get the dog work!
