Good first day!

I'm one of the fortunate ones who works weekends, so today was my opener. Headed out with a few good buddies and thumped the big ducks pretty good. Caly was awesome today and we never had to the fetch the boat once for a bird. She even made 3 great blind retrieves. Sometimes it gets boring training 2-3 days a week during the entire off season, but I'll tell ya what, it pays off big time as she was a champ today. Never broke once and she pushed through some tough terrain in the flooded timber to make these retrieves. All in all it was a great day. Hitting a different spot tomorrow in hopes of loading up a bag full of teal. Dinner tomorrow night, roasted duck with a port wine reduction sauce!

Congrats Davey, now that's a great hunt.

Congrats to a good hunt, glad your work time worked to your advantage. I figured how to get out with this broken toe and got 2 woodies and a drake mallard before the ache got to bad. Oh well off for the rest of week and will try some more. Hunt safe gang.
