Got my first duck band
I took off Friday , went out with a good buddy. Our first spot was dead
Then we jump to another river spot. The action was better spite being in the
Afternoon. We had a pair float down and stop in a calm spot about 75 yards.
My buddy walked up to jump shoot them, they went up he shot one
And I got the other that flew right to me. Turned out to be a great day.
I'm glad I took off. I like to thank all the guys who helped me out.
And my buddy who was so happy you think he shot it.
I feel real lucky since this only my second season and I got one
I know guys go a long time without one. Put it on my lanyard so
Every time I'm out I can of that awsome day.
It was banded in Stanhope so it was a resident bird.

Re: Got my first duck band
Chris first welcome to the world of fun and frustration. I have been at this for 45 years now and still learn something every season. I have seen the "good" seasons and "bad" and both have learning lessons in them. I guess the most important thing I learned is to be flexible. Hope you have many more good hunts to come.

Congrats on the band and I can't agree more, even the worst day hunting is still better than a good day at work.
