First Aid Kits
The last thread got me thinking about First Aid kits. I carry some bandages and neosporin, but am planning on getting one of the kits from either Cabela's or Gun Dog Supply.
Any recommendations on a particular kit from either of those places or any others?
Or what items at minimum do you carry in a makeshift kit?
Thanks

Re: First Aid Kits
Bandage gauze & vet tape
Stepic powder for cut pads—helps to stop bleeding
Hydrogen Peroxide to clean a wound also used to induce vomiting
Tweezers
Scissors
Antibiotic cream
Benadryl
Not too sure about the spelling "Stepic powder" it's the same stuff you use if you cut a dogs nail too short.
My 2 cents

First Aid Items
Tuff Foot Bonaseptic from Gun Dog Supply (works on people too).
Curved needle and some spider wire fishing line
lighter
sterile razor blade (haven't needed it yet but who knows).
Thermal reflective emergency blanket.
Sugary snack (for diabetics who need a quick fix)
Strong Pain Killer (1 or two pills for a bad back)
Snake bite kit for early season.
Pencil (not pen) and Pad
Magnesium fire starter and fire starter sticks (small 6" ones)
(I tend to include things that I need as well as the dog.)

Russell,
"Curved needle and some spider wire fishing line" That's something I will add to my kit.
Thank you.
