What guns in your boat this season?
Just wondering what everybody is shooting and how they like it. I am a dealer so I get to hunt with the demo guns!! The past 2 years I used the maxus and loved it. Just got a Berette A400 extreme for this season, feels great in the hands but need to shoot some stuff with it. My brother shoots the versa max and he seems to like that. Still got my old 870 super mag laying around for the days when I want to have some fun with the pump gun!

I have the XtremaII and love it. I tried selling it a while back to upgrade to the A400, but it was such a pain in the a$$ to sell that I decided to keep it.

I'll be using my Benelli M2 again. Just picked up a Stoeger over/under that may get a chance as well.

My trusted Benelli M2. This gun spent 24 hours at the bottom of the Delaware river, and the next day, downed a limit of mallards.

Davey that is one good story there!! I thought i would be hearing more of the sbe II
I just got off the phone with my beretta rep they wont be shipping the outlander until october. From what he says the gun is very familar to the 391 but with a a400 piston system. but it still has the mobil choke system. sounds like a duck shooter to me!!!

Quite the story actually. I was hunting during a blizzard and the tide dropped out abnormally low. I realized I was going to be stranded, so I packed up in a hurry and literally threw the decoys in the boat unwrapped. Never put the gun in the case, mistake #1. While trying to get out of this creek in a hurry, the boat got jammed up on a log and started to turn sideways because of the current. I threw my leg over the side to push off the log and apparently kicked my gun overboard. Once I was out of the creek, I realized my gun was missing. I couldn't think of anywhere else it could be other then it went over when I was stuck on the log. Tide was too low to go back. Next day a buddy and I went hack and timed the tide perfect so that we would be there at dead low. Thankfully it was another blowout tide. We dragged the bottok with a magnet and grapple hooks. Finally we located what we thought was the gun, but tried unsuccessfully to pull it up with a fishing net. So my buddy, against my advice, decided to jump in. This was January mind you....a day after a blizzard. He was able to literally find the gun with his feet and then place the net over the barrel. He pulled the gun up, barrel first. I was amazed to say the least. Got the gun home and disassembled every piece and soaked in WD40. No rust anywhere and the only damage was the finish got scratched from dragging it with magnets and a grapple. The next day I hunted the same spot and finished a limit of Mallards. Lucky I have a great friend and even luckier we found it! I ALWAYS case my gun in the floating case before packing up now. Always!!

It'll be the same as always, my 870 express mag. Won't be changing to anything else anytime soon. The guns always worked even after being covered in mud, washed out in lake water and it just kept going. I might pick up a Yildiz later but the 870 will always go.
