Break time after the morning half

I had 4 guys out with us yesterday. We worked hard for a few limits of birds. Here is my tired pup taking a break with me before we moved on the the next spot.

No, just the opposite. The birds I have been seeing are getting very thin as the season wears on. I have not seen any migrating flocks and only resident geese. Blacks have been around but numbers are low and we have to work hard for every one of them. Some days we would not have anything to shoot if it were not for the large flocks of Brant.
So far this has been the worst season I can recall. We need a good cold blow out of the North or this season will go down as a bust. Before the season started all I heard about was how good the numbers were looking in the pot hole region and counts were up all over. I really thought this was going to be a banner year. Either the data was wrong, but that couldn't be the data is always correct, right. haha, or they just have not come down yet. I just hope we get some birds in before the end of the season.
How have things been by you? I see a bunch of guys in Jersey saying Blacks are all over. Not the story here.

we dont have any blacks in the uk, well not those type anyway but reading the BASC report they say that mallards are on a downhill spiral over here.
