My Bankes Intruder Sneakboat Blind Build
My favorite off season Project. Rigging out a Duck Boat. I like My camo
left on the boat full time so I dont have to set any thing up when I get to my
Hunting location.
First thing I did to my Bankes Intruder Sneakboat is add Oar lock sockets.
I have found over the years that it is easier to get around in bad mud with
a pair oars than on foot.

I remove the grass rails and cleat off the deck. Next I cover the boat
with Olive Drab Hand Rail netting. I use hand rail netting because it is
heavy duty. It will hold camo nets, grass and brush If You need to use
that type of natural cover. Ring the net with 3/8 inch rope around the top
of the combing. I then cut out around the cockpit. Melt the ends of the
Net and attach to the combing deck with Brass screws and Nylon clamps. I
pull the net tight and reattach grass rails.

Next I ring the bottom of the net with 3/8 inch rope. I like the net to
hang down almost to the water line. I cut off all the net below the rope and melt
the cut ends of the Net. Now its time to add Camo nets. I use Camo Systems Max 4 nets.
I double them. I use cable ties to attach to the hand rail net. Start on the top middle
and work your way down. The camo net will draw up as you pinch and tie. I dont want the
camo to lift the bottom of my Net off the water line.

Re: My Bankes Intruder Sneakboat Blind Build
This week I will try and finish up with my Hood and cockpit cover and cut off all those
cable tie ends. I like to hunt setting up. That way I can see what flying around and working
the decoys.
I bend two pieces of aluminum flat bar in to hood frames. I attach these to the combing
of the boat. Cover with net and camo.
I make the cockpit cover with the same net and camo net.
Gun rack, Jerk String rig, Seat, Battery box, Gas tank and Lowrance mount still to come.
This is My kind of off season Summer Project.

Re: My Bankes Intruder Sneakboat Blind Build
This is my Jerky string Handle. The handle is under the deck and the nets inside where I sit. It gives me 14 inches of pull and Nothing can see You move. I run the 3/8 inch line from the handle up through 1/2 pvc and then out the back of the combing. I just make an over hand knot in the line. That knot just sits outside the combing. I just set up my jerk decoy and clip the line to my over hand knot. When I need to chase down a cripple in the boat I just unhook the clip. Now I have a jerk rig I can operate without spooking the ducks. In 32 Duck seasons I have killed more ducks by Jerk String than by Call.

Re: My Bankes Intruder Sneakboat Blind Build
Tonight I added the gun rack and the Ram mount for my Lowrance. Fixed the Ram mount where the Lowrance stores under the side combing when not in use.

Wow rob that looks great. What are you gonna use to put on the netting on the metal frame work as camo. Something like grass mats killer weed.

nice
Rob,
I really like that sneak boat! I looked at them when I was looking at differant boats online one day. I always wondered how that boat would handle rough water. Sometimes I run into 3 footers in the differant places I hunt. I would guess that wilth the saftey flotation and a good spray sheild it would do very well in rough water.
Also how do you like that momarsh seat you have? Did you use it yet or did you just get it for the new boat. I am thinking about picking one up for this season. I looked the other day and saw that they changed it a little bit. They made the back higher and put heavier hinges.seems like a great seat for a sneakbox. Just wondering how someone who has one likes it. Best of luck with the new boat. Looking foward to seeing pics with some pinnies on the bow.

Chris, I used the seat last season in My Momarsh Fatboy DP. Very nice seat. Had no problems with it.

That thing looks sick Rob! What type of areas do you hunt out there? Are there lakes, rivers or just marsh? I've been to OK once with my job, Tulsa.

I hunt the area where the Red River becomes Lake Texoma. Most years the area is a 5000 acre Mudflat. I try and hunt brush piles that have come down the river. If we get fall and winter rains for big River rises I get to hunt flooded grass. If the water gets high enough, flooded timber.

Re: My Bankes Intruder Sneakboat Blind Build
Working on my Cockpit cover. I was going to put doors. No way to have doors when they were open inside the edge of the boat. From time to time I hunt timber. You DONT want anything sticking out side the edge of your boat running brush. I ended up using strap buckles. Turns out this works perfect. I can open one side or the other. I can take the cover off if I want.

Re: My Bankes Intruder Sneakboat Blind Build
This will be the Last Photos of My Bankes Intruder Sneakboat blind build. All I have left is the motor cover. As with all camo nets Ive ever used, I stuck the net over the outboard and almost could not get it off. Camo net hooks to everything. I will sew up a Cordura cover and then add camo net to that. Should slip on and off with NO problem. Now the Boat goes to the Trailer Builder. Im having a Custom built trailer to just fit the boat. Then to Linex instead of paint. Then to the lake to try this rig out on the water. Hope to be done by the end of June.
