Re: 1940 or older BBSB
I am told that it is a Perrine gunning box that may have been built buy Samuel Perrine the father and mentor of the J.Howard Perrine Boat Builder. Once I get her I will be able to do find out more about her. I have been waiting for over a year to get it up to RI. If she is from Samuel Perrine the boat could be 132 years old. It has had nothing done to her other than the motor mount which the first thing I do is to remove it.

That's a great looking box. I had one very similiar to it years ago. Mine was a Van Sant featheredge though, similiar age. Obviously you're going to restore it, but are you going to gun out of the boat?
Re: 1940 or older BBSB
Davey, Yes I am going to restore it. I will never hunt out of it. Just like the the Carl Adams BBSB from Port Republic that is like new it will just sit under the sewing table in the shop. I allso have a Van Sant featheredge to restore.
